Yippee! Let'er Buck!
1920 – 1930s Vintage postcards of Old Wyoming
The bucking horse and rider logo is one of the nation’s best and most distinctive icons of the wild west and most especially to our State of Wyoming. Since the early 1920s this symbol has been utilized by the University of Wyoming athletic teams and in the 1930s it became the symbol used on the Wyoming State license Plates. It is said that “Let’er Buck” was a slogan often used during World War I and it’s origin of the phrase came from an old range cowboy who had just crossed the Platte River in Wyoming in 1893. The other two vintage images of cowboys and cowgirls on this apron are relative to the era and the grit and spirit of Wyoming.
As with all the aprons in the “vintage postcard” series, there are 5 pockets (two large, 3 small). Cowboy hats and bucking horses are the backdrop in this design series. Aprons are trimmed with a leather-look fringe that is machine washable.
Again ~ these aprons are to be worn and used as aprons. Don’t be afraid to wipe your hands on them!
